Fowler VW hosts BigFoot Calling Contest at Plaza Festival!

23 Sep

We’ve been studying up on our Bigfoot Observers Field Manual and it appears the conditions are ripe for a Bigfoot sighting at Plaza Fest on October 1. According to the experts, a surefire way to attract the mythical beast is through awesome art, amazing music and hordes of hipsters. But to absolutely, positively ensure Bigfoot’s appearance at the Plaza Fest, WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We’ll be rounding up the best Bigfoot callers in OKC to howl away on the Fowler VW music stage. And whoever has the magical howl that brings Bigfoot out into the open will win some pretty cool stuff like:

» $50 Backwoods gift card

» $50 Forward Foods gift card

» $25 Gray Owl Coffee gift card

» Lots of cool VW camping gear

» Harry and the Hendersons DVD

» Your very own copy of the Bigfoot Observer’s Field Manual: A practical and easy-to-follow step-by-step guide to your very own face-to-face encounter with a legend

So how do you enter? There are several ways: Tweet your name @FowlerVW and include the hashtag #BigfootCallingContest or Comment on our Facebook page: Facebook.com/FowlerVW or Shoot us an email at info@fowlervw.com And if you need a little inspiration, check out this Bigfoot calling montage from Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot.

Emcee’s for the Plaza District Festival will bring on the laughter

15 Sep

Spencer Hicks doesn’t seem like your typical capitol hill type, but this Former Governors personal Assistant and part-time comedian is nothing but giggles. Hicks will be performing during the day on stage at the Plaza District Festival. His goofy smile and pleasantly awkward delivery belie not only the scope of his material but also the polish of his stage-awareness. Hicks is sure to make your stomach ache pleasure. More info on his blog at  http://spencerhicks.com/

Zane LaRue will be carrying on the emcee-ing for the evening. His outrageous and ridiculous humor is sure to stir up trouble. Below is LaRue acting as Wayne Coyne  called DOPPELWAYNGER. Come out and enjoy this colorful improv of Zane LaRue. Found out more about LaRue and his friends at http://zaneandfriends.com/
