Plaza Festival is coming up September 29th, and we need volunteers to help organize our Kids Art Activities! We strive to have an amazing interactive art experience for the kiddos, but we need your help to make it the best it can be! We are looking for volunteers to head the activities. Descriptions and tasks below. Please let us know if you are interested!

Art in Action: Art Teachers instruct children in 4 interactive art projects
Task: Coordinate with Firehouse Art Center for teachers and projects. Assess supply needs and area setup. Recruit needed volunteers
Outdoor Mural: Children will be able to paint murals on panels. The mural can be laid out for children to fill in OR the panels can be divided for children to create their own works in the space.
Tasks: get supplies donated, recruit volunteers to help build outdoor mural panels and support. Work with Plaza staff to order and find needed art supplies, organize setup and volunteer needs
Storytelling: A storytelling area will be setup for children
Tasks: organize storytellers, schedule and area setup, recruit volunteers
Puppets: Children will be able to create handmade puppets from craft materials
Tasks: assess craft supply needs, example crafts and recruit volunteers
Facepainting: Children will receive free facepainting
Tasks: Recruit volunteer facepainters, assess supply needs, organize area setup and volunteers
Instrument Playground: Children will be able to play instruments through OKC Phil’s Instrument Playground program
Tasks: Coordinate needs with OKC Phil, organize area setup
Beads: Children will be able to make bead crafts
Tasks: Assess supply needs, organize area set up, recruit volunteers
